SANCTIONING COSTS

JUDGES AND OFFICIALS

3 WBC judges will be required and at least 1 WBC referee.

NZ SANCTIONING COSTS - COVERS UP TO 13 FIGHTS. $100 per fight after this.

3 x Judges: $550 NZD

1 x Referee: $250 NZD

1 x Timekeeper: $100 NZD

Sanctioning/Admin/Paperwork: $300 NZD (Covers all belts, sanctioning of all fights)

The WBC officials will require transport and accommodation costs to be covered also. If the officials are travelling via their own vehicle the promoter shall cover fuel costs at $50 per 100km driven (inc return). In most cases officials can travel together. Accommodation will be required should the show run later than 11pm and the official is driving over 100km.

The WBC officials will supply printed scorecards, official paperwork, timers, clappers.

BELTS

CHAMPIONSHIP BELT COSTS. Includes carry bag, gold and silver medals & patches.

Pro NZ Champions Belt: $930 NZD ea.

Amateur NZ Champion Belt: $ 860 NZD ea.

World/International/Oceania Championship Belt: 1350 NZD ea.

Shipping: $100 ea.

Belts must be paid for before ordered, please allow 6 weeks for arrival. The NZ Sanctioning costs can be paid at the same time or no later than 1 week before the event. We will pay all WBC officials prior to them being at the event.

SANCTIONING FEES

Fees per show:

1 Show- $300

2 Shows per year- $450 prior to the first show

3 plus Shows Per year- $200 per show

WBC does not want belts being inactive and therefore we will also request future plans for title defences and WBC Sanctioning. We are wanting growth alongside promoters and offer the following show sanctioning rates which will be paid yearly. All fees are non refundable and will need to be paid to WBC NZ prior to the Shows.

ADDITIONAL INFO

PROMOTER TO PROVIDE

Accurate scales, gloves, elbow pads, shin guards. Private and clean changing areas for female AND male athletes. No male or female coaches are permitted into the changing area of the opposite sex.

End of round bell/horn. Minimum 2 trained medical staff. One must be ringside during all fights.

POST KO/TKO EXAMINATORS

To protect the health and welfare of fighters, a fighter who has been knocked out (KO) or (TKO)must undergo a medical examination as quickly as possible after the bout. Such examinations should be conducted under the authority of the local combat sports commission where the bout occurred, the fighter’s local commission, or any medical authority approved by the WBC MuayThai. The following examinations should be conducted on a fighter who suffers a knockout, technical knockout, or other circumstance in which the fighter has sustained extraordinary severity of blows in a contest: a physical examination, but not limited to include a complete neurological examination, MRI/CAT Scan, or any other medical examination or tests recommended by the WBC MuayThai medical advisory board, or the attending fight physician, or local combat sports commission medical requirements. Rest Periods after Knockout. Fighters that suffered a concussion or any other serious trauma or injury by knockout should not participate in sparring sessions for a minimum of 45 days and no less than 30 days after any other concussive trauma, including but not limited to knockout. Suspension after Knockouts. A fighter suffering a knockout will be suspended for a minimum period of sixty (60) days. A fighter suffering two (2) consecutive knockouts will be suspended for one hundred twenty (120) days and must not be considered for a WBC MuayThai championship contest. No fighter will be allowed to fight for a WBC MuayThai title should they lose via TKO within 45-days of a proposed WBC MuayThai title contest. The minimum 60-day suspension after suffering a KO will be enforced.

FIGHT MATCHING

WBC NZ will not sanction fights that appear mismatches on paper or via using due diligence or where fighters are still within post fight stand down or WBC post fight rest periods and requires the list of matches no later than 14 days. For fighter safety, WBC NZ will not sanction any match where the fighter has fought previously within 3 weeks of the promotion date. Promoters must match fights as per age group rulesets. PROMOTERS MUST SUPPLY A LIST OF ALL CONFIRMED FIGHTS NO LESS THAN 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT SO THAT WBC CAN ENSURE MATCHES ARE WITHIN RULES AND RULESETS BEFORE SANCTIONING WILL BE CONFIRMED. Information must include fighters' ages, matched weight and records. YOUTH FIGHTERS 17 and under are not permitted to fight adults 18 and over.

REST/ STAND DOWN PERIODS

No fighter will be allowed to fight for a WBC MuayThai title should they lose via TKO within a 45-days of a proposed WBC MuayThai title contest and 60-days if losing via KO (suspension may be longer depending on the severity of the KO). No fighter can contest for a WBC MuayThai championship contest having fought inside of 21-days before the scheduled date for a WBC MuayThai championship contest, on the grounds of safety – any fighter violating this rule automatically gives the WBC MuayThai the right to revoke sanctioning for a WBC MuayThai championship when a fighter takes a fight inside the 21-day period of contesting for a WBC MuayThai championship. Any fighter being considered for a WBC MuayThai championship who has lost their most recent fight via KO or TKO within 90-days of the proposed date for a WBC MuayThai championship must undergo a full medical exam by a registered physician, be fully cleared by a locally registered physician (documentation of clearance to be provided to the WBC MuayThai) before any consideration is given by the WBC MuayThai to sanction a bout.
